I have a similar issue! But I did something dumb (dialed MMI ##002@) and this command erased the forward to the voicemail after a call is not picked up. So I guess I learned a lesson today! hehe

Hi!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 that was previously owned by someone else. When I try to program the voicemail number under voicemail settings, it tells me "Failed to read data. Voicemail number change unsuccessful."

I know I'm able to alternatively access my voicemail by dailing the 416-821-6549, but I'd rather have it set up with the long-hold 1. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks.

Hi @Bujiana!

Welcome to the Community Smiley
Here's the instructions to update the voicemail number:

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Call settings.
  4. Tap Voicemail.
  5. Tap Voicemail again.
  6. View the voicemail number.

Hope it helps Smiley

Hello former moderator Manuel,

It appears that the local (Vancouver) land-line access numbers for "Fido Messaging Service" are not working correctly.  It answers in the normal way, but it does not respond after you enter your Fido mobile number.  It is completely silent after the first introductory message.

Can this be fixed soon?

Thanks,

KRS03

Hello KRS03,

Hey gpilon,

If you're using an iPhone you need to dial *5005*86*+16478396178#. If you're using an Android, go to Settings > Call Settings > Voicemail Settings > Voicemail Number and enter +14168216549.

Let me know how it goes!

Hey gpilon!

I recognize that phone! I've used it before. Smiley It's the Nokia 2220.

You can change your voicemail number by following these steps:

- Go to Menu

- Select Messaging

- Select Voice Messages

- Select Voice Mailbox Number

- Enter +1-416-821-6549

Hope this helps!

I have an old Nokia flip phone and never had problems receiving voice mail until recently. It's asking for "mailbox number". I have tried to enter the phone numbers that others have posted. 1-416-821-6549, and 1-647-839-9196. Even tried the last 4 digits of the cell number, but  all I get is "request not completed". Anyone have any other suggestions?

Hey unicmin!

I do not have any information about your device and therefore cannot assist you with how to set it up. However, I do have the voicemail numbers. You can find them here:

If you specify your phone's model, someone from the Community may be able to help you having it set up in your phone Smiley
