Seeing how Fido is trying to increase usership here, why not add a forum applet into the existing My Account app for the various smartphone platforms out there? That would put these forums onto the devices directly and could result in more rapid user growth.
In lieu of thanks, you can send me whatever you were planning to give away in the next contest.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think it's a great idea. It would involve a lot of integration and programming but it's not out of the question.
Hi FidoGina
I'm actually a software developer, so I do understand the amount of work that would go into it. Having said that, a few obsevations:
1) The Fido forums and the Rogers forums are built on the same framework
2) The Rogers forums, when accessed on a mobile, now use a mobile interface optimized for smartphones. I expect this same front end for mobiles could be enabled for the Fido forums fairly easily. You are 90% of the way to completion by simply flipping that switch for the Fido forums.
3) The My Account smartphone apps for Fido and Rogers are essentially wrappers for web pages and web content, so they already are designed to simply display a webpage within the app itself. Actually, just a new button added that launches the Fido forums (using the smartphone web interface) would do the trick.
Given these three points, the development wouldn't be as arduous as building it all from scratch.
Anyway, just a thought. Thanks again for the reply.
