Calling all Fido Home Internet customers…

As you all know, the Fido Community has always played an important role in providing valuable feedback regarding our products and services. In that light, we are thrilled to offer our members an exciting opportunity: A chance to participate in a trial of the new firmware for our Fido Home Internet Wi-Fi Modem (CGN3AMF)!


The new firmware includes the following features and enhancements:

  • IPv6 enabled by default
  • Security enhancements
  • Fix to preserve LAN connectivity in case of HFC outage or loss of signal
  • Addition of Wi-Fi Survey functionality
  • Improved stability of WPS function
  • Improved Wi-Fi performance
  • Various minor GUI changes and improvements


If you’re interested in participating, all you have to do is send a private message to @FidoSolutions with the subject line “Fido Home Internet Wi-Fi Modem Firmware Trial”. A member of the Community Crew will contact you with further instructions.


It’s the first time we do something like this, so this is pretty exciting! Once you've received the new firmware, please provide your feedback directly in the feedback thread created for this. We’re really looking forward to hearing what you think of the new firmware!

Can someone, anyone, a director, a VP, a SVP or anyone else that has any access to push through new firmware.  Since the update in my area for docsis 3.0, my connection is dropping 20-25 times a day...  Do something.  I've run around to all the stores and none of then had any.  I had a tech come to my place, the line is fine.  Someone do something instead of me running around.  Thanks.
