This is all very good in theory but doesn't work in practice!

Over time I'm randomly losing tracks I have downloaded and need to re-download them.  After multiple emails with Spotify about this, they've disowned the problem and are blaming the phone manufacturer.  The phone manufacturer only suggested a factory reset of the phone which didn't solve it.  So I'm stuck with a Pulse plan which doesn't really work and nobody is going to do anything to fix it.

Hey Kieren!

Welcome to the Community!

Does the same thing happen with any tracks that you have downloaded on any other devices?

Let us know!

Hi Amanda,

I'm only using Spotify on my mobile; I'm not using it on any other devices or my PC.

Unfortunately I don't see a fix or an explanation why it happens and it looks like the problem has been happening for years.

Does this only happen with certain songs or all your downloaded music?

One thing you can try, to rule out your phone as the cause, would be to test out the app on another device.

This can happen with any song, it won't always be the same ones that go missing. I don't have another similar device to test. Looking at the Spotify forums it doesn't appear to be specific to the G3. The only thing I haven't yet tried is getting Spotify to store its cache on an sd card; the one I currently use isn't big enough.

Hey kieren,

Is there any way you can give it a try on a laptop or desktop to see if you notice the same issue?

How often does this seem to happen?
